Sotheby's Auction For Women & Women International

Olwyn recently helped support Women for Women International’s She Inspires Me “One of A Kind” auction held at Sotheby’s. We were incredibly grateful for the involvement of the Conran Family and artist Barnaby Barford who both pulled out all the stops to create one-off pieces especially made for the auction, which raised funds to help the female survivors of war.. Led by designer, business woman and all round amazing person, Sophie Conran asked the rest of her family to come together to create a totally bespoke hand-painted tableware collection, designed for Women for Women. Their handiwork raised a staggering £6,500. The china was kindly donated by Portmeirion Potteries PLC. Award winning Barnaby Barford created an impactful piece EMPOWER that featured the word re-written again and again, a powerful and impactful piece raising a wondeful £9,000 for the charity. We would like to thank both the Conran family and Barnaby for getting involved and giving their time and creativity to the cause.
